On The Road Report - Day 16 Fort Carson

June 13, 2010

Country Throwdown showed its support for the troops by throwing a free USO concert at Ft. Carson in Colorado Springs, featuring 6 Bluebird Cafe songwriters and the Tyler Reeve Band. The soldiers and their families were determined to have a day of fun and sat through the rain and even hail to see the show. The musicians were also grateful to meet and hang out with the service men and women, and right before the show, some of the soldiers outfitted Tyler in full combat gear and handed him a giant machine gun. Thankfully it wasn't loaded. For more videos, photos, and news from the road, stay tuned to the On The Road Report with Houston Mathews, and be sure to follow @thrwdowntour on twitter for the latest updates of the day!
