• On The Road Report - Day 16 Fort Carson

  Country Throwdown showed its support for the troops by throwing a free USO concert at Ft. Carson in Colorado Springs, featuring 6 Bluebird Cafe songwriters and the Tyler Reeve Band. The soldiers and their families were determined to have a day of fun and sat through the rain and even hail to see the show. The musicians were also grateful to meet and hang out with the service men and women, and right before the show, some of the soldiers outfitted Tyler in full combat gear and handed him a giant machine gun. Thankfully it wasn't loaded.   There were a ton of cool things to do at the Bristow, VA Country Throwdown Show. Aside from the usual array of vendors and booths and beer and food, you could get your haircut for charity, win prizes from the radio station, and see some great music! And I finally found Waldo. How cool is that.
